Even in a pandemic year, Bonang Matheba continues to make boss moves and that is why she is called Queen B.
The SA born TV presenter stays strong and keeps making her name in the entertainment and lifestyle industry.
Let us talk about some of those things that made this year a very ‘Bonang year’ which coincidentally is the name of her two part reality TV series which airs on one of South Africa’s leading channels SABC 1. Bonang Matheba has continued to stay relevant over the years.. her reality show broke major records as it garnered up to 1.86 million people viewing the very first episode. Did I hear you say “that’s how stars do?”
In the words of Zandile Nkoyemi, Head of PR at SABC TV “This is unheard of for any broadcast platform in SA for a celebrity-driven reality show genre and at a time when SA viewers have more reality TV content to choose from.”
In year 2019, Bonang launched her own wine brand champopo, House of BNG MCC (Méthode Cap Classique) which she took international. The unique blend of this special bubbly drink had fans coming back for more. This drink was fast to sell out and it did so with every release.
The bubbly sold out multiple times, with fans across the country enjoying her special blend. In 2020 she made this drink an international brand.
Fun-fact: Bonang’s sparkling wine is also Woolworths number one MCC
In this same year of Bonang, she made SA’s first sparkling wine in a can! The wine comes inboth white wine and rosé.
“I’m so excited about The House of BNG’s growth as a brand and its innovation of new products. BNG Nectar is for my sort of lifestyle! It’s perfect for adventure and on-the-go celebrations and brings a touch of luxury and celebration to any occasion,” she said during her launch party.
Now for the second year in a row, Bonang has successfully sponsored the Miss SA pageant with her House of BNG, MCC. She hosted the pageant for years before handing over to actress Nomzamo Mbatha.
