Justice Amina Aliyu of the Kano State High Court has directed Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero to cease parading himself as the Emir of Kano. The court also barred four other deposed Emirs from acting as Emirs of Karaye, Bichi, Gaya, and Rano.
Additionally, the court ordered the five deposed Emirs to return all movable and immovable properties belonging to the Kano State government.
The judge had adjourned the matter on July 4 to rule on applications including extension of time, preliminary objection notice, joinder application, and a request for the judge to recuse herself, with the next hearing scheduled for July 18.
