    BREAKING: Former Chief Justice of Nigeria Mohammed Uwais Dies at 88

    A former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mohammed Uwais, has passed away at the age of 88. He died in the early hours of Friday, as reported by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Ondo State, Dr. Kayode Ajulo.

    Uwais held the position of Chief Justice of Nigeria from 1995 until he retired in 2006.

    After retiring, he led the Presidential Electoral Reform Committee established by the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

    BREAKING: Former Chief Justice of Nigeria Mohammed Uwais Dies at 88

    The committee featured notable figures, including Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah and human rights attorney, Dr. Olisa Agbakoba, SAN.

    Details about funeral arrangements have not yet been disclosed as tributes pour in from legal, political, and civic community leaders.
