Dr. Nura Ali, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Sokoto State, has been immediately suspended by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The letter states that Dr. Nura Ali has been told to avoid the Commission’s Sokoto State office until further notice.

Although the suspension’s justification was not made clear, it was assumed that it had something to do with the recent claims of irregularities in the state’s just held election.
