The Lagos State Police Command anti-bomb squad deactivated an improvised explosive device (IED) at the fence of the Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone A of the Nigeria Customs Service on Bank Anthony way, Ikeja, Lagos.
The object was found on the eve of the planned #EndBadGovernance nationwide protest against economic hardship.
The IED was allegedly dropped by an unidentified person who drove to the spot in a car and zoomed off immediately after the action.
Confirming the incident on Wednesday, Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin said the device was wrapped in a bag and was dropped by the roadside from an unregistered vehicle along Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way.
