Nollywood veteran, Ada Ameh has died in Warri, Delta State around 11 pm on Sunday, a contact close to the family has confirmed on Monday morning.
Ameh was said to have been a guest of an oil company toyshop and his family when she suddenly slumped.
She was said to have been rushed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
Ameh, who played the role of Anita in the movie ‘Domitilla’ in 1996, is famous for her comic characters especially in the series The Johnsons.
The Johnsons is a comic family sitcom focused on an average family based in Lagos Nigeria, their diverse traits and how they cope with what life has to offer them.
Born on May 15, 1974 in Ajegunle, Lagos, the popular actress shared a video of her eating with the family around 12:53pm on Sunday on her official Instagram page.
Few days ago, she mentioned she’s been battling mental health issues. Ameh cried out in a post on her Instagram page on Wednesday.
The actress lost her only child in 2020. She further stated that she has been sued over her inability to deliver on a job.
“Everything is going to be fine, I have an issue right now and it’s taking my life. I no go die, we will get over it.
“I was given a job, I didn’t do the job because I had mental issues. Will people understand? They are slamming me with a bill, suing me. It’s okay,” she said in tears.
