The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu is dead.
Akeredolu died in the early hours of Wednesday at a German hospital where he was receiving medical attention for leukemia and prostate cancer.

Akeredolu’s health took a dive weeks after his return from medical intervention abroad. He died of leukemia and prostate cancer, two ailments that had made him incapacitated for several months.
Akeredolu had handed over power to Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on December 13, for him to travel to Germany for treatment after his health reportedly deteriorated. He is survived by his wife, Betty, and four children.
