Britain’s King Charles III Undergoing Cancer Treatment –Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace has announced that King Charles III is currently undergoing “regular treatments” following a recent cancer diagnosis.

The 75-year-old Monarch was discharged from the hospital a week ago after treatment for an enlarged prostate.

“During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted.

“Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

The Palace revealed that King Charles has “commenced a schedule of regular treatments” and, following doctors’ advice, will not be making public appearances until further notice. However, he will continue with other official duties at the Palace.

“The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure.

“He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible,” the statement said.

It also added that King Charles was keen on sharing his diagnosis “to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer.”

The Palace did not exactly state the form of cancer diagnosed, nor the type of treatment the King was undergoing.

King Charles’ health situation was first made known by the Palace on January 17. He was admitted for prostate treatment which at the time, was said to be non-cancerous.
