Retired Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Nigeria’s ex-Ambassador to Benin Republic, led a delegation on a heartfelt condolence visit to the family of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja.
During the visit, Lt. Gen. Buratai offered his deepest sympathies to Maria Lagbaja, the widow of the late COAS, and their family. Reflecting on the late general’s legacy, Buratai recalled Lagbaja’s commitment and selfless service, acknowledging his contributions to the military and the nation.
Adding to the solemnity, Buratai wrote a heartfelt tribute in the condolence register, capturing the profound loss felt by both military and civilian communities.
Lt. Gen. Buratai was joined by retired Lt. Gen. Lamidi Adeosun, retired Maj. Gen. Iliya Abba, retired Brig. Gen. Sani Kukasheka Usman, and respected businessman Manzo Ahmed.
