Burial Arrangements Concluded for Late Akwa Ibom First Lady

The family of the late First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Eno, has officially shared details regarding her funeral arrangements.

Her husband, Governor Umo Eno, along with the grieving family and the State Government, have scheduled for November 29, 2024, for her burial with a memorial service taking place at her home in Ikot Ekpene Udo, located in Nsit Ubium LGA.

Enobong Uwah, the Secretary to the State Government and Chairman of the central planning committee, officially announced her funeral on Friday.

Uwah said Pastor Patience Eno’s passing left a legacy of compassion and faith that influenced many lives throughout Akwa Ibom State and beyond.

Eno also paid an emotional tribute, saying, “My wife was not just my partner but also a source of strength for our family and the people of Akwa Ibom. Her compassion and dedication were unparalleled, and she will be profoundly missed.”

In recognition of her dedication to service, a week of activities has been organised, starting with the opening of the Mourning House on November 20, 2024, followed by condolence visits until November 26, 2024.

On November 22, the International Christian Worship Centre in Uyo will host a Night of Worship and Tributes, allowing people to reflect on her influential life through worship songs and heartfelt tributes from those she inspired.
