American actress Cameron Diaz is indeed “Back in Action.”
In her first Netflix movie in a decade, she co-stars alongside Jamie Foxx under that title.
During a recent interview on “The Graham Norton Show,” Diaz said that her return to Hollywood was due to Foxx.
“I neglected everything for ten years,” she remarked. “After receiving this script, I decided it might be time to accept any advances.”
She praised her co-star highly.
According to Diaz, “I wanted to spend ten hours a day away from my family with the most talented man in the entertainment industry.”
The two had been friends for a long time thanks to their roles in “Any Given Sunday” (1999) and “Annie” (2014).
Starring in several successful films, including “There’s Something About Mary,” Diaz, who started her career as a model, hasn’t been sitting around doing anything.
Along with being a successful author and entrepreneur, she is also a wife and mother to two children with her husband, singer Benji Madden.
She spoke on her time away from film sets by saying, “I loved those 10 years for me and my family.” But I was thinking, ‘I am a fool if I let this go if I don’t engage again if I don’t give it a chance.'”
The reappearance seems to have pleased the actress.
She stated on the show that “making films is a privilege, and we are all so lucky to do what we do. It was incredible that the door was still open for me after ten years.”
