Cameroon’s Ondoa Sacked by Belgian Club for Holding Party During Lockdown

Cameroon international and KV Oostende of Belgium goalkeeper, Fabrice Ondoa has been sacked by his club for organising a party during COVID-19 lockdown.

Ondoa expressed shock about the club’s decision as he denied holding any party.

He also accused the club of disrespecting him by not informing him ahead of the decision as he only got to know through the press.

“I just heard the news this afternoon by mail almost at the same time as the press.

“I admit to being shocked, because the leaders did not even bother to invite me to explain the facts that I am accused of.

“They are making such a serious decision without even bothering to hear from me. I just got a letter from their lawyer. It’s scandalous!

“If they had taken the trouble to invite me to explain, they would have understood that I have nothing to reproach myself with. I didn’t organize anything at all and it was definitely not a “lockdown party”. Terms are important in life …” he tweeted.
