Canada will host the G7 foreign ministers’ meeting in Quebec’s Charlevoix region from March 12 to 14, the Foreign Ministry has confirmed.
The meeting will be held under Canada’s G7 presidency, with Foreign Minister Melanie Joly expressing pride in the country’s role.
This summit will focus on addressing critical global challenges, including supporting Ukraine in its war with Russia and tackling peace and security issues in regions like the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. Notable topics will include the crises in Haiti and Venezuela, as well as ongoing conflicts in Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Additionally, the foreign ministers will discuss broader security and economic themes, particularly the interconnectedness of Indo-Pacific and Euro-Atlantic security.
