Ghana’s local currency, the cedi, has made slight gains against major trading currencies, particularly the US dollar, at some forex bureaus.
In its daily update, the Bank of Ghana reported that the cedi is trading at GH¢15.45 (buying) and GH¢15.47 (selling) per dollar.
The British pound is being bought at GH¢19.21 and sold at GH¢19.23, while the euro trades at GH¢16.03 (buying) and GH¢16.04 (selling).

Meanwhile, checks by GhanaWeb Business at 8:30 AM on February 13, 2025, show that the cedi is trading at GH¢15.90 per dollar, while the pound stands at GH¢19.70 at some major forex bureaus.
Additionally, the euro is trading at GH¢16.70 on the retail market.
To curb cedi depreciation, the Bank of Ghana intervened by selling over $200 million in the last quarter of 2024.
