Ghana’s local currency, the cedi, has posted slight gains against major international currencies, notably the US dollar, in some forex bureaus.
According to the Bank of Ghana’s latest update, the cedi is currently trading at a buying rate of GH¢13.09 and a selling rate of GH¢13.10 to the dollar.

For other key currencies, the British pound is buying at GH¢17.42 and selling at GH¢17.44, while the euro is being traded at GH¢14.74 for buying and GH¢14.75 for selling.
However, market checks by GhanaWeb Business at 07:00 AM on May 10, 2025, show slightly higher rates in parts of the retail forex market. The cedi was trading at GH¢13.40 to the dollar, with the pound at GH¢18.50, and the euro at GH¢15.80 in some major forex bureaus across the country.
