Following the last concluded Chad’s Presidential Election On Sunday. The African Union has commended the country for running the elections peacefully.
The Rights Groups have raised concerns about the banned demonstrations during campaign and how authorities have silence citizens from making their views known.
Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres have criticized the authorities.
After the polls closed on Sunday, the African Union expressed relief that polling day went smoothly.

A member of the country’s National Independent Electoral Commission (CENI), Ouman Mahamat, also said no incidents were reported.
