The Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yi, is scheduled to arrive in Abuja on Wednesday on an official visit, according to the acting spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa, on Tuesday.
During his visit, Yi, who serves on the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, will participate in discussions to enhance the relationship between Nigeria and China.
Yi is also scheduled to meet with Nigeria’s Foreign Minister, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, on Thursday for discussions between the two nations focused on increasing collaboration, particularly in trade, infrastructure, and technology.
In addition to his diplomatic meetings, he will visit President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, delivering a special message from Chinese President Xi Jinping to the Nigerian leader.
