Chris Hughton Named Head Coach of Ghana's Black Stars (News Central TV)

Chris Hughton, a former Brighton manager, has been named head coach of Ghana’s national men’s football side. Since February 2022, the 64-year-old has served as a technical adviser for the Black Stars.

He takes over from Otto Addo, who stood down after Ghana finished bottom of Group H with one win in three games at the World Cup in Qatar.

Chris Hughton takes on his first management post since being fired by Nottingham Forest in September 2021.

He previously coached Newcastle, Birmingham, and Norwich before taking over at Brighton for five years and guiding them to promotion from the Championship.

Ghana’s assistant coaches will remain George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.
