Nigerian Government Denies Nationwide Job Recruitment

The Nigerian Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) stated on Sunday that it did not announce any nationwide recruitment into ministries, departments, or agencies.

Mary Ogbe, the Permanent Secretary of the FCSC, issued a statement in which she referred to a message that was spreading on different social media platforms about such recruiting as being fraudulent.

The FCSC wishes to make it abundantly clear that the massive, fake countrywide recruiting described in the article is just a product of the author’s imagination. It is not real news, and members of the general public, especially those looking for work, ought to disregard it and dismiss it completely.

“Furthermore, it presumes that the author’s intention is to deceive and misinform the general public for the sake of his own personal objectives.”

In light of this, the administration of the FCSC would like to restate that there is no large recruitment effort being undertaken across the country for positions in the federal civil service.
