Cocaine Excreted by Vietnam-Bound Traveller in Abuja

A 54-year-old businessman named Paul Okwuy Mbadugha reportedly excreted about 88 wraps of cocaine after being detained and observed by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Abuja

He was preparing to board a Qatar Airways flight to Hanoi, Vietnam, via Doha when he was intercepted at the boarding gate.

After undergoing observation, Mbadugha excreted a total of 88 wraps of cocaine with a gross weight of 1.710 kilograms over four days. The arrest and details were disclosed in a statement released by Femi Babafemi, the spokesperson for the agency.

The suspect stated that he is a businessman based in Lagos and that a friend in the Isolo area of the state gave him pellets to swallow. He claimed that he was supposed to deliver the drugs in Vietnam in exchange for a fee of $2,000.
