Congo: Fuel Shortages Hit Petrol Stations in Kinshasa (News Central TV)

Long queues  have been seen at petrol stations in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, as the city suffers with fuel shortages.

Recall, on April 1, News Central reported that there was fuel shortages in most parts of Nairobi, the Kenyan capital.

Reports indicate that the price of gasoline has not altered, but only a limited amount is sold each day.

The scarcity in Kinshasa began on Monday, despite the government’ assurances that there is sufficient supply.

The government has attempted to calm the public by stating that the matter is under control.

Fuel prices in the country have been raised to match international pricing, according to oil marketers.

News Central earlier reported that the Rwandan Government raised the prices of fuel and gas amid global oil market uncertainty triggered by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February.
