The Republic of Congo has terminated a long-standing oil deal with Italian oil giant, Eni.

Due to this, Eni will no longer be qualified to recover its investment costs.

The Italian multinational oil and gas company which has been operational in the country since 1968, will, however, have other oil exploration projects continue in Congo.

Eni’s activities in Congo are mainly focused in the exploration & production sector in conventional and deep offshore and onshore areas.
