An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State has ordered that a 13-year-old boy be remanded in a Borstal Correctional Centre for reportedly defiling his neighbour’s six-year-old daughter.
The minor would remain in remand until April 17 for legal advice from the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions, according to the Chief Magistrate, Bola Osunsanmi.
Prosecution Counsel, Raji Akeem, had earlier informed the court that the accused, who was charged with defilement, committed the offence last in January 2024 at his parent’s home in Oshodi, Lagos.
Akeem explained that the defendant lured the little girl into his parent’s home while they were away, and defiled her there.
