Dangote Meets with President Tinubu on Selling Crude Oil in Naira

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu hosted a meeting with the committee on implementing crude oil and refined products sales in naira at Aso Rock. The session included prominent stakeholders like Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group, and Mele Kyari, CEO of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

Key government figures such as Finance Minister Wale Edun, FIRS Chairman Zacch Adedeji, and CBN Governor Yemi Cardoso were also in attendance.

Following the meeting, Finance Minister Edun confirmed that discussions focused on strategies for local refineries to purchase crude in naira—a goal driven by Tinubu’s initiative and Dangote’s investment in the new refinery.

He emphasised the stakeholders’ commitment to tackling any challenges and sustaining the policy for long-term success.
