Dapo Abiodun Wins Nigeria's Ogun State Governorship Election (News Central TV)

In the just-concluded governorship election in Ogun State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of Nigeria has named the incumbent governor, Dapo Abiodun, as the winner.

Ladi Adebutu, a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who was Abiodun’s nearest opponent in the race for a second and final term, lost.

Abiodun received 276 298 votes, compared to 262 383 for Adebutu. Biyi Otegbeye of the Africa Democratic Party, who received a total of 94,754 votes, finished in third place behind the pair.
