Dataleum: Data Intelligence Company Grants N9 Million Scholarship to Young Female Footballers (News Central TV)

Leading data training and consultancy company Dataleum offers female football clubs a nine-million-naira scholarship program for sports analytics.

The Sports Data Analytics Scholarship, given by Dataleum to the champion and the first and second runners-up of the Under 15 Girls Inter-Secondary School Football Tournament organised by Lagos Tigers Academy and Kid Sport FC, was awarded to three teams.

Based on how well they played in the football game, where each team received scholarships worth three million naira, the best three teams were chosen.

The purpose of the scholarship is to improve the procedures each team uses in their training drills. Recipients of the scholarship will be introduced to the capabilities of data analytics and how they may be incorporated into the approach and implementation of sports.

“We recognise the participation of females in sports and how it contributes to their psychological and physical well-being, as well as societal development, and are also conversant with the rapid acceptance and implementation of data analytics in sports,” said Nehita Odigie, a representative of Dataleum.

The announcement of the scholarship demonstrates Dataleum’s dedication to leveraging data to create positive change in the world. It also fits into the company’s broader initiatives to advance gender equality and diversity in both sports and data.

The CEO of the company, Bode Roberts, congratulates the football teams on their accomplishment and expresses the company’s eagerness to support them through this Sports Analytics program in order to help shape both their future and the future of sports data.
