Davido Makes History at MSG with Epic Performance

Davido, the incredible Afrobeats star, made history by being the third Nigerian artist to sell out the legendary Madison Square Garden (MSG). His amazing show happened on April 17, 2024, during his Timeless Tour.

Davido wowed the crowd with his Grammy-nominated talent and electrifying stage presence. Leading up to the much-anticipated event, Davido generated buzz across social media platforms, hyping his debut show at the 19,000-seat arena. The MSG concert was nothing short of spectacular as Davido captivated the audience with a medley of his chart-topping hits, including tracks from his groundbreaking fourth album, ‘Timeless’. Fans recorded and posted online some special moments, such as when he sang Kizz Daniel’s ‘Twe Twe’ remix with a lot of energy.

Davido brought out Nigerian Street hop star Zlatan for a special guest performance, adding to the excitement of the night.

Joining the ranks of Burna Boy and Wizkid, Davido’s MSG concert marked yet another milestone for Afrobeats music on the global stage.

Beyond the performances, Davido took the time to enjoy some basketball action, witnessing the New York Knicks secure a victory against the Brooklyn Nets. He met up with Nigerian basketball player Precious Ezinna Achiuwa and British-Nigerian player Ogugua “OG” Anunoby Jr, both from the New York Knicks, adding a touch of sports excitement to his MSG experience.

Madison Square Garden served as the perfect venue for Davido’s debut performance, showcasing his talent to a diverse and enthusiastic audience.

In a heartfelt moment, Davido’s act of kindness transcended the boundaries of music when he generously gifted $50,000 to a lucky fan in need.

Davido paid homage to basketball legend Kobe Bryant by recreating iconic photos from Bryant’s 2001 NBA finals victory, adding a special touch to an already unforgettable night at MSG.
