Davido’s new hit single video becomes the fastest video to hit 1 million views. Davido’s new hit single ‘Fem’ was released September 10, 2020 and in less than 7 hours after its release, it got a million views. The Nigerian singer released ‘Fem’ as a comeback following his announced break from social media since June 3, 2020. The singer took to his Instagram page to say that he needed a break to take care of himself as , he has according to him put people before him and that he was changing his number.




The newly released song which many have perceived to be a diss to African Giant, singer, Burna boy is presently the music sensation and talk of the town.
Davido who recently became a father for the third time is the son of Nigerian politician, billionaire, business magnate, founder and president of Adeleke University, Adedeji Adeleke. He was born November 21, 1992 as David Adedeji Adeleke but better, popularly and professionally known as Davido. He is an American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer.


He studied Business Administration at Oakwood University before dropping out to make beats and record vocal references. Davido rose to fame after releasing “Dami Duro”, the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo (2012), from which six additional singles—”Back When”, “Ekuro”, “Overseas”, “All of You”, “Gbon Gbon”, and “Feel Alright”—were taken. In 2012, Davido won the Next Rated award at The Headies. Between 2013 and 2015, he released the hit singles “Gobe”, “One of a Kind”, “Skelewu”, “Aye”, “Tchelete (Goodlife)”, “Naughty”, “Owo Ni Koko”, “The Sound” and “The Money”.

In January 2016, Davido announced on Twitter he had signed a record deal with Sony Music and a few months later founded the record label Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), to which acts Dremo, Mayorkun, Yonda and Peruzzi are currently signed.

In July 2016, Davido signed a record deal with Sony’s RCA Records. In October 2016, he released the 5-track EP Son of Mercy, which was supported by the singles “Gbagbe Oshi”, “How Long” and “Coolest Kid in Africa”. In April 2017, Davido re-negotiated his contract with Sony due to creative control issues and later that year he released five singles including “If” and “Fall”. “If” generated worldwide social media activity while “Fall” became the longest-charting Nigerian pop song in Billboard history. Davido released his second studio album A Good Time in November 2019. It was supported by the previously released singles “If”, “Fall”, “Assurance”, “Blow My Mind” and “Risky”.

In May 2020, Davido announced that his upcoming third studio album would be titled A Better Time, and that it would include 11 tracks, with features from Nicki Minaj and Tiwa Savage.

In July, he performed on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and was seen in studio with rapper Nas. On August 31, 2020, Davido returned to social media after taking a three-month break to chat with the Grammy Museum on Instagram Live about the rise of Afrobeats and other issues within the industry. During the Live session, Davido also revealed that he has completed work on his A Better Time. No release date has yet been specified. On September 10, 2020, Davido returned with the single, “FEM”, alongside its music video.
