Hollywood actor Denzel Washington might have said something inappropriate.
In an interview with Australia’s “Today Show,” the Oscar-winning actor discussed his career and plans while promoting his latest movie, “Gladiator II.”
Washington revealed some information about his future plans after his impending Broadway run in Shakespeare’s “Othello,” in which he will play the title role, and stated that he is currently “only interested in working with the best.”
Following that, I’ll be playing Hannibal. “Since then, I’ve been discussing a movie with Steve McQueen. Ryan Coogler is then writing a role for me in the upcoming Black Panther.”
The issue is that a third movie in the “Black Panther” trilogy has not yet been formally announced by Marvel.
In a recent interview with Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, Washington addressed that and called Coogler “a genius.”
“His lovely wife was sitting next to him when I called him and apologised for discussing the movie,” Washington remarked. “He remains Ryan, modest and creative. I’ll read whatever he writes.”
The renowned actor also discussed his health journey with Variety. When he revealed that he stopped drinking, he recently made headlines.
“To improve my health, I’ve been on a two-year programme. “I realised that I needed to change after looking at myself at the Academy Awards,” Washington told Variety.
“I collaborated with a trainer named Doug Romero. Reaching a point where I feel comfortable looking in the mirror has been my birthday present to myself.”
