The 2020 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) which came off virtually on November 15 saw many artiste across the continent take home numerous honours, including billionaire’s daughter, DJ Cuppy.
The Best African DJ category was a very tight one, it had, DJ Spinall from Nigeria, DJ Black Coffee from South Africa, DJ Dollar from Senegal, DJ Lutonda from Angola, DJ Andy Josty from Ghana, DJ Neptune from Nigeria, DJ ECool from Nigeria, DJ Malvado from Angola, DJ Moh Spice from Kenya, and of course, DJ Cuppy from Nigeria on that list.
An excited DJ Cuppy posted on her Twitter handle saying she’s going to disrupt the industry after emerging as the winner and been crowned the best DJ in Africa.
According to her, as the first woman to win this award, she’s very honoured and will continue to disrupt her industry as she begins a new mission to win more awards we guess.
She also dedicated the award to her fans the Cupcakes thanking them for holding her through it all and now she’s the best African DJ.
