Flash floods in Djibouti have swamped major streets in parts of the capital making it impassable.
Djibouti’s Information Minister, Daud Aweis expressed condolences to the government and the people regarding the heavy rains and floods impacting the country.
“We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Djibouti during this difficult time,” the Minister said.
A major rescue operation is underway in following the
devastating floods. Air Force chopper rescued stranded people as the country anticipates heavy rainfall.
