Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic began his quest for a record 25th Grand Slam title with a comfortable victory in the opening round of the French Open on Tuesday, easing past American Mackenzie McDonald in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3.
Djokovic, who recently secured his 100th career title in Geneva, needed less than two hours to dispatch the world number 98 and book his place in the second round at Roland Garros.

The Serbian, seeded sixth, encountered only one brief stumble during the match when he failed to serve out the second set at 5-2. However, he quickly regained control by breaking McDonald in the following game to wrap up the set.
The 38-year-old, who has lifted the French Open trophy three times, will next face either Corentin Moutet or Clement Tabur—both from France—in the round of 64.
