Draper Digs Deep to Defeat Tsitsipas in Cincinnati Thriller

British tennis player Jack Draper rallied from being a set down to secure a hard-fought victory over world No. 11 Stefanos Tsitsipas at the Cincinnati Open.

Tsitsipas broke Draper’s serve to lead 5-4 in the deciding set, but Draper displayed remarkable resilience, winning 12 of the final 17 points to claim a 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 win.

“In general, my grit, determination, and attitude won me the game today, so I am very proud of that,” the world number 28 said in his on-court interview.

The 22-year-old tennis player will now play either Norwegian seventh seed Casper Ruud or Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime in the next round.

Tsitsipas, who has previously been a runner-up at the Australian Open and French Open, recently ended his coaching partnership with his father Apostolos and is playing in his first tournament since then.
