This attack comes during the ongoing cross-border conflict between Israeli forces and Hezbollah since the escalation of the Gaza war in October. Last month, Israel intensified its offensive in Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah leaders, including the group’s head, Hassan Nasrallah, in a series of airstrikes and ground invasions. Recent Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon have claimed over 1,500 lives and displaced approximately 1.2 million people.
