Two women, including a police officer, were apprehended in Durban following the discovery of a significant quantity of cocaine valued at R6 million in a CBD apartment.
According to Col Boysie Zungu, spokesperson for the Metro Police, the team acted on a tip-off regarding drug storage in a flat located in the Point area. After conducting surveillance and obtaining a search warrant, law enforcement officers proceeded to search the premises.
Inside the flat, a substantial amount of pure cocaine, estimated at R6 million, was uncovered. The two women, aged 52 and 49, were promptly arrested and charged at the local police station. Notably, one of the detainees is a policewoman, as confirmed by Zungu.
