Residents of Amaifeke in the Orlu local government area of Imo State, South East Nigeria, were terrified as gunmen engaged EbubeAgu operatives in a gun duel halting commercial activities on Sunday.

The gun battle between operatives of EbubeAgu and the suspected IPOB separatists at Amaifeke led to the razing down of a popular brothel, Ukwu Aki.

The IPOB gunmen were pissed off over the arrival of state-sanctioned EbubeAgu operatives on Saturday evening, in an area they considered their stronghold.

The South-East security network codenamed Ebubeagu is the joint security organ ratified by governments of the five South-East states.
