Labour Party (LP) gubernatorial candidate, Olumide Akpata has said that every candidate in the Edo State governorship election should have a level playing field.
He said this while speaking to newsmen after casting his vote at the Ministry of Education, Ilaro, Benin City.
He said, ” I am calling on INEC that the playing field should remain levelled and nobody should be given undue advantage.
“All of our agents should be allowed into the collation centre. Nobody should be hindered or prevented from going into the collation centre, so we can all be witnesses to the process and be able to confirm that it was carried out in the manner as prescribed by law, the electoral commission and the constitution.”
He said that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has no excuse as they have the luxury of being able to deploy their resources as this is the only election going on in the country.
