The Badminton Confederation of Africa have commended Nigeria for accepting to host this year’s edition of the All Africa Senior Badminton Championship, which comes up in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in April.
Secretary General of the Confederation, Sahir Edoo who is on a facility inspection in Nigeria, expressed satisfaction over what he has seen and described the West African power house as a force to be reckoned with in the sport.
Edoo also paid a courtesy call to the Ministry of Sports and expressed his delight at the top class facilities he had seen while on his inspection.
The All Africa Senior Badminton Championship makes a return to Nigeria after the country last hosted the continental event in 2000.
