Education Adequate Resources Will Soon Be Rolled Out—President Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stated that policies, plans, and adequate resources will soon be rolled out for the education of Nigerian youths as part of efforts to tackle security challenges in the country.

The President made this announcement during a meeting with a delegation from Jam’iyyatu Ansaridden, an Islamic movement, at the State House in Abuja.

President Tinubu emphasised the importance of education as an antidote to the troubles affecting the nation, stating, “There is no weapon against poverty that is as potent as learning.” He assured the delegation that efforts to begin massive education of youths across the country would commence and that security agencies would be dispatched to immediately address the challenges of abduction and kidnapping.

The President called on Islamic movements in Northern Nigeria to promote updated knowledge through existing Islamic learning institutions for youths to accelerate development in the region, the country, and across Africa. He condemned the recent spate of kidnappings and bandit attacks, describing the development as disturbing, ungodly, and sinister.

President Tinubu urged the Islamic movement to embark on special prayers and proper education for the youth, emphasising that shedding each other’s blood is wrong and that there can be no development without peace. He highlighted the need to work for peace to eliminate poverty and foster economic growth.

In response, the leader of Jam’iyyatu Ansaridden, Sheikh Muhammad Lamine Niass, encouraged President Tinubu to continue implementing reform initiatives. The Islamic movement pledged to continue praying for Nigeria’s peaceful development.
