‘A Civilisation Inspired by Nature’ is the theme of a worldwide advertising campaign that Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced on Thursday, coinciding with COP27, to promote sustainable tourism in Egypt.
According to Amr El Kady, director of tourist activation, the campaign intends to promote environmentally friendly travel in Egypt through a number of significant travel-exporting nations, including Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, the United States, and Arab States.
CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation, the advertising campaign intends to promote sustainable tourism in Egypt by focusing on the major tourist exporting markets, including Germany, the UK, Italy, the US, and the Arab countries.
The campaign emphasises the ancient Egyptians’ relationship with and respect for the natural world. This aims to draw attention to the state’s current efforts to protect the environment and transition to sustainable green tourism.
According to Suzan Mustafa, director general of the authority’s tourism promotion department, the campaign will launch with the release of a number of brief promotional films.
These brief documentaries showcase notable natural diversity and what makes each region in Egypt unique as they focus on major tourist sites in Egypt.
This comes after Hala al-Saeed, the minister of planning and economic development, attended the signing of a number of Energy agreements and cooperation protocols worth US$83 billion in the renewable energy sector on Tuesday between the Sovereign Fund of Egypt and a number of businesses.
Aside from the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, COP27, which was held in Sharm el-Sheikh from November 7 to November 18, the agreements were signed.
According to Saeed, the Sovereign Fund of Egypt is a significant investment arm of the Egyptian government, and part of its job is to find and research potential investment opportunities before developing a strong investment product to be offered to the private sector.
