Under the presidential initiative of “Haya Karima”(decent life), the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population will launch 9 medical fleets for free medical check-up and treatment in various medical specialties.
According to the Ministry, the special medical interventions available on the convoy include: “women, childbirth, family planning services, children, internal medicine, nose, ear, orthopaedics, surgery, dental, heart and skin ophthalmology, in addition to radiology and analysis services.”
The Ministry of Health and Population added that the governorates where the convoys are scheduled to take place include the governorates of Sharqiah – Ismailia – Dakahlia – Beheira – Matrouh – Minya – Luxor – New Valley.
The nationwide developmental initiative, Haya Karima provides free medical and treatment services to citizens, while cases requiring care are referred to hospitals.
A few weeks ago, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said that Haya Karima initiative was slowed down in several villages across the country due to the economic repercussions of the Russian- Ukrainian war.
“We were surprised that companies, -despite of efforts that is being carried out-, was not able to finish these projects in a year.” Sisi said during his tour to New Mansoura University.
President Sisi added that the government initially planned LE 700 billion to execute the projects within 3 years, now the cost exceeds LE 1 trillion.
