The transfer window may be closed in Europe’s big leagues but there’s still some activity in other areas.
Egypt midfielder, Mohamed Elneny who has not seen many minutes with his club side, Arsenal might be on his way out of the North London club. The Egypt international did not feature in Arsenal’s two opening Premier League games but played the second-half in their devastating 5-0 loss to Manchester City.
Reports suggest Elneny has agreed on personal terms with the Turkish club, Galatasaray, as he awaits both clubs to agree on a transfer fee.
Elneny was a regular in Arsenal’s lineup last season where he played a total of 41 games with the Gunners, scoring three goals.
The 29-year-old won the Arsenal Goal of the Season award last year for his strike against Dundalk FC in the Europa League group stage.
The Gunners have reportedly rejected an offer from Galatasaray, but a Turkish news outlet revealed that the Lions agreed on personal terms with the Egypt international in a deal where he will sign a four-year contract and will receive €2.250 million (EGP 41.8 Million) plus a €,250,000 (EGP 4.6 Million) in bonuses after 10 matches.
Both clubs are yet to find an agreement regarding the player’s transfer fee, whose contract expires in the summer of 2022.
