Egypt’s PM Mostafa Madbouly Submits Cabinet’s Resignation

Egypt’s Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, has tendered the resignation of his cabinet to President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

President el-Sisi in response, has tasked Madbouly with forming a new administration, with a focus on appointing ministers renowned for their skills, experience, and capabilities, the Presidency said in a statement on Monday.

The President has outlined several key objectives for the new government, including upholding national security, sustaining political initiatives, ensuring stability, countering terrorism, and promoting cultural development, national consciousness, and moderate religious discourse.

Stressing the importance of enhancing the well-being of Egyptians, particularly in healthcare and education, President el-Sisi has directed attention to economic reforms.

The North African nation advances with comprehensive economic reforms following the acquisition of over $50 billion in aid and investments.

El-Sisi has urged the new government to continue efforts to attract both domestic and foreign investments, foster private sector expansion, and tackle inflation and market stability concerns.

Meanwhile, the incumbent government has been instructed to continue its duties until the formation of the new cabinet.
