Ahead of the Eid-l-Kabir festivities, Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has authorised a financial support package of N45,000 for each employee under the State Unified Local Government Service and Local Education Authorities.
This was disclosed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, who explained that the gesture aims to alleviate the financial strain on civil servants during the celebratory period.
The financial assistance comprises two components – a N30,000 Loan/Advance repayable in three monthly installments of N10,000 each over July, August, and September, and a N15,000 Sallah gift to enable every worker in the state to partake in the Eid-l-Kabir festivities without financial constraints, the statement clarified.
Malam Falalu Bawale, the Katsina State Head of Service, expressed profound gratitude for the governor’s initiative, stating that the financial aid will undoubtedly bring relief to numerous households, enabling them to celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid.
Governor Radda’s Senior Special Assistant on Digital Media, Isah Miqdad, also confirmed this development on Saturday in a post on X.
He wrote:
“His Excellency the Governor of Katsina State, Mal Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON, has taken a commendable step towards enhancing the well-being of the workers in Katsina State.
“I am delighted to inform you that he has given his approval for the disbursement of a loan/advance and Sallah Package, amounting to N45,000.00 for each worker in the State, Unified Local Government Service, and Local Education Authorities.
“In order to facilitate convenient repayment, an installment of N30,000 will be deducted from the workers’ salaries in the months of July, August, and September, with each installment amounting to N10,000. Additionally, the Governor has generously granted a Sallah Package of N15,000 to every worker.
“May Allah bless him and grant him success in all his endeavours for the betterment of Katsina State, amen.”
