Jibe Ologeh has been re-elected as president of the Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN).
EMCOAN President Jibe Ologeh and Secretary General Stephen Alayande said in a statement that the association, which claims to control over 80% of electronic broadcast content in Nigeria, had been at the forefront of churning out the majority of the content on television and radio stations across the country.
Also, Emeka Ossai has been chosen as a new member of the EMCOAN Board of Trustees (BOT).
According to the statement, Ossai is a veteran of the media and broadcast content industries, having worked on a number of projects. He is one of the core founders of the association and has been very instrumental to the success stories of EMCOAN. He is one of the association’s founding members and has played a key role in the organization’s success.
In her acceptance address, Ologeh expressed gratitude for the vote of confidence she received by being re-elected for a second two-year term.The statement recalled that it was in her first tenure that EMCOAN was recognised as a sectoral body of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
Meanwhile, other members of the BOT include Agatha Amata and Opa Williams.
Meanwhile, Theophilus Akatugba (Vice President), Stephen Alayande (General Secretary), Ugwu Chinedu (Public Relations Officer), Akpezi Agarry-Oke (Financial Secretary), and Longe Omolaja are among the newly elected executive members (Social Welfare Officer).
