President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, has refuted rumours circulating on social media regarding the supposed demise of veteran actor, Zack Orji.
The AGN President took to his official Instagram page on Tuesday, urging the public to disregard the actions of mischief-makers who derive pleasure from disseminating false news.
He wrote:
βMr Zack Orji is alive π―π―π―π―π―π―
Please ignore misschief [sic] makers who enjoy circulating fake news.
βThis is to show how wicked some people can be. It is totally unacceptable. @actorsguildofnigeria @abkingyakub @k8henshaw
βHe will not die but live to declare the good works of God in Jesus name

Mr. Orji was rushed to the National Hospital Abuja on December 31, 2023, New Yearβs eve, over failing health. He was admitted to the intensive care unit, and stabilised by the hospital. He was later moved to a private hospital for additional treatment.
However, the National Hospital issued a statement dispelling claims that he was referred to another hospital, disclosing that the actor was moved against medical advice.
The rumours regarding his passing gained traction shortly after the tragic demise of veteran actor Amaechi Muonagor. Chief Muonagor died after a prolonged battle with kidney disease.
Rumours are not uncommon within the entertainment industry in Nigeria. Numerous actors in the field have been falsely reported as deceased by dubious sources, only for such claims to be debunked later.
