End Bad Governance Protests Halt Commercial Activities in Lagos

Nigerians in Lagos brought the city to a grinding halt as they took to the streets to voice their grievances against bad governance and the country’s current economic hardships on Thursday.

With placards in hand, protesters rallied across the city in their numbers. Retail shops were closed, streets empty, and vehicles off the roads as the first day of the nationwide protests kicked off in full force.

The bustling city of Lagos was reduced to a ghost town, with few vehicles braving the empty streets as police patrolled the area, their sirens echoing through the quiet cityscape.

News Central reports that despite last minute efforts by the Nigerian Government to prevent the protests, Nigerians poured into the streets in major cities across the country, determined to make their voices heard in the fight against bad governance and economic hardship.
