The trial of individuals arrested during the #EndBadGovernance protests has started at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The trial, which began on Monday, September 2, involves protesters who are facing treason charges. They are being brought before a vacation judge, Justice Emeka Nwite.
Renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana is leading the legal team representing the accused protesters.
Among those on trial, Michael Lenin and nine others have pleaded not guilty to the charges of treason.
The court proceedings will determine the outcome of these serious charges related to the nationwide protests, which mainly occurred from August 1 to August 10, 2024.
