England completed a 3-1 series win over South Africa by wrapping up a 191-run victory on the fourth day of the final Test in Johannesburg.

South Africa who needed a world record 466 to win, fought hard with Rassie van der Dussen top-scoring with 98 but England’s pace attack dismissed them for 274.

Faf du Plessis temporarily ignited hopes of the Proteas pulling off 466 by putting on 92 but were successively dismissed by overs from Ben Stokes and Mark Wood before tea, leaving South Africa 187-4.

England’s charge was accelerated by Stuart Broad with two wickets after the break.

England now have three wins on tour in South Africa for the first time since 1913-14 and three successive Test series wins over the Proteas.

The two teams will face-off in a three-match ODI series, which starts on February 4.
