Unarguably Ghana’s foremost female rapper Eno Barony, has released a brand new song and video for ‘Enough Is Enough’.
A lot of people expressed their disappointments when one of Ghana’s foremost female rapper did not win the awards for the Best Rapper of the Year. One of these people is the Veteran musician Rex Omar. He said, judging from the two artistes’ exploits in the year under review, he saw no reason why anyone should have won the catergory they were nominated for. In his words, “Eno to me right now she is on top of her game when it comes to rap…. Let this urge you on because one award will not determine you, keep on doing you and I think that you have it,”.
After the awards, Eno Barony released a new song called “Game of thrones”. The song is performed over the intro of HBO’s Game of Thrones series. Released on the 31st of August, Eno Barony throws shade at the organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards; Charter house in her song, that she might not have been given the proper accolades and might not have been acknowledged at the event, but she still remains the best rapper in the game.
“We are fighting for the throne but you already know who the king is…No disrespect to any rapper but the king of rap in Ghana now is s female, this what we call a bitter truth,” she added
Eno brought her A- game to the event held last weekend after she delivered a sterling four-minute freestyle performance which trended on social media throughout the event, proving once again that she merits the award for the Rapper or the year. She also mentioned this in her song “Game of thrones “
Four minutes on the show and the whole world Talk say about how the lady killed it, …When I’m on stage you go feel me”
The artist has decided to move on from the whole VGMA as she releases a song with the self-acclaimed queen of Ghana music Wendy Shay.
‘Enough is Enough’ talks about the subjection of the female gender just to get favours from men.
Wendy and Eno’s collaboration was a huge one because Wendy who calls herself Queen of Ghana music also did not receive an award after been nominated for several awards.
As seen on the streets of Twitter:
“Charter House And VGMA Said They’ve Banned Shatta Wale & Stonebowy Yet They Nominated Sarkodie’s Black Love Album Which Had Stonebowy On It While Ignoring Wendy Shay’s ‘Stevie Wonder’ Because It Had Shatta Wale On It. The Malice Towards Shatta Wale 🤦🏽♀️”
“Ebi you people dey see VGMA. Wendy Shay get more hits pass all the female artists in Ghana. She worked hard last year. Vgma be fraud”
“Wendy Shay no win any award at de VGMA does that give u guys de rgt to troll at her, what has this girl done to u Ghana Twitter ???🤔🤔🤔”
The snap back with Eno shows their resilient spirit.
